The Boy Scouts of America sells popcorn every year as
the program's official fundraiser. This page will bring
you up to speed on everything about popcorn from when it
starts to what the prizes are (at least for the 2005
fundraising season.)
Who: All participating Cub Scout packs, Boy
Scout troops, and Venturing crews.
When: This year's sale starts on
September 28, and orders are due at den meetings the
week of
October 24.
Why: The annual popcorn sale is the pack's
primary source of income. The proceeds for the sale go
exclusively toward providing a quality program for the
boys. Prizes: As a reward for
outstanding sales efforts, in addition to having a great
pack, the boys also get to choose from various prizes. The
prizes
are on the Circle 10 site. Also, here is a
reproduction of the prize
flyer.
What: Here is a
list of what we'll be selling, hosted by the Trail's
End site.
How: As in everything in Scouting (or
anything else that concerns our boys), safety is our first
priority. At the Trail's End site, there is a brochure for
the boys called
Safety in Selling. There is also a
Comic Book that's fun and enforces their safe
behavior.
Good luck, guys! Get out there and make those sales so we
can make this year the best yet! Good luck, have fun and
be careful.
